5 Things I like about My Marketing Modules at the University of Wolverhampton

As a final-year Business Management student with Marketing,I have had a range of opportunities to explore my marketing modules that have developed my theoretical knowledge and practical skills.I have enjoyed my Consumer Behaviour and the Responsible Marketer Module with Kareem because it was interesting to learn about Consumer insights and purchasing behaviour as well as my Digital Marketing and Strategy Module with Monica last semester which was applied to a real-life case study for SymbioTex, creating content and giving recommendations.

1.The most enjoyable aspect of my marketing modules has been the opportunity to take part in industry trips such as the visit to the Ministry of Housing,Communities and Local Government and Molineux Stadium as they have provided valuable insight into how marketing is applied in real business environments.

2. I have found studying consumer behaviour particularly interesting because it helped me understand the psychological and social factors that influence consumer decision-making.

3. Through my modules, I have explored Social media marketing, content creation and digital strategy which has helped developed my digital marketing skills that are highly relevant in today’s marketing environment especially in the Marketing Consultant module where we had to devolop our personal branding and use keywords to optimise search engine rankings to try get us at the top of rankings using tools like SEMRush and AnswerthePublic.

4. Learning about marketing strategy has also been an important aspect to my studies as it has involved understanding how businesses analyse markets, identify target audiences and plan marketing campaigns to achieve their objectives.

5. Finally, I have found the topic of responsible marketing extremely important especially in today’s society.Understanding ethical considerations, sustainability and the role of transparency highlights the importance of building trust with consumers and ensuring that marketing practices are socially responsible.

Overall, my marketing modules have provided me with a strong foundation in both theory and practice. They have helped me develop key marketing skills to deepen my understanding of the marketing industry and further strengthened my interest in pursuing a career in digital and social media marketing, where I hope to apply the knowledge I have gained throughout my degree.

I am grateful for the support and opportunities provided throughout my studies
